Obsession ran 13.5 at Qld, stock as a rock 06 BF XR6T 6speed auto

Having followed obsession's car for quite some time on the cruze I can say that it is 1 fast T. With my CAI and 10psi generic tune I had nothing on him till the top of second and into third then I really started to pull him in. don't know if this is just the difference between the 4sp and the 6, but it is 1 quick stock car

Greetings Gents....

A generic tuned xr6 t 4spd would be on top of a healthy BF F6 A6 let alone a healthy BF XR6T A6 - Example:

My Generic tuned 03' t 4SPD AUTO ran a 12.6 et @ 110mph @ Calder Park

My Mates Ultra Fit BF F6 A6 ran a 12.9 @108mph @ Calder Park

Obsessions's car ran a 13.5 although a great effort - it is still a far cry from a 12.6 - there seems to be something wrong with either your generic tune or hose has possibly come off????????

Regards...

I don't agree. I am no expert, but its based on how your car takes the tune, With a BF 6 speed it should piss on a BA 4 speed. If you got a better gear box, and the same tune in both, it should go to the BF. However its the driver that well paint the story.

But I havent read any forums where the 4 speed dominants the ZF box with power and 1/4 mile times.

I think the 4 speeds hold all the 1/4 mile records

A 3 speed holds the record but the 4 speed's have provern to be faster than the 6 speed auto's

My 4 speed GT ran a 11.5 with Nos only and a mate of mine with a 6 speed BF and 40 rwklw more after 6+ attemps has a best of 11.6,me personally I wouldnt want a 6 speed only the fact that the gearstick itself has a lot firmer feel and less travel than the 4 speed

Hi Bud,

I have owned 4 XR6 Turbo's, both auto's /manual and driven/raced multiple 6SPD ZF'S IN F6 AND XR6T GUISE:

My 03' 4spd auto t ran a 13.6 @103mph (2.1 60')totally stock even with paper filter @ Calder back to back, although the ZF is a fine box, I don't knoW if it will "piss" on a 4spd. and that's in stock form. Once you modify these buggers it has been proven the 4SPD is a quicker configuration.

Just my 2 cents worth....

dam 3 speed cheats :)

the only problem with the 4 speed is the weakness of the parts.apart from that its a fast box

Na everything is fine with the car, my car must have been friday job, has never had much power since I have had it, but I have never had it on a dyno.

To start with I must say that we where never side by side starting at the same time this is just as we pulled away from intersections ect. so I was always taking off after him. as I said earlier it was even until say 100km/h but after that I really pulled him in. that was why I mentioned about the different gearboxes I just thought that with the 6sp having the really high first gear that, that is why it could match me off the start. by the way it is a CV performance generic tune, not a capa
