I still rather the sedan suspension.

it was a big selling point for the BA/BF, that and everything else. and it was a pity that they didn't get it to fit the utes...

but on the downside, IRS can be weak as sh*t, the more tech you cram into something, the more things that will eventually go wrong.

they are nowhere near as bulletproof as some live axles on the market (or some old ones you can scrounge up).

but hey, its nice when you can throw a big family sedan into a sweeping left or right hander and punch it without so much as a second thought...

You need to keep in mind the fact that it's a ute.

Unlike the Holden's they're designed to be able to function as a ute and carry a load. The sedan suspension just isn't suited to that type of work.

Motor mag did a Typhoon vs Tornado comparision up Mt Buller and the sedan couldn't really shake the ute.

Obviously at 10 tenths the sedan would have the edge but in real world conditions I think they do ok.

exactly, the new Expensive Daewoo ute doesn't have a 1 tonne capability, they don't even have a ute that would go to 800kgs! useless for tradies, they are only poser utes now
