19 Inch Wheels On Stock Springs?

Getting some 19"ers on mine tomorrow... Stock springs.

I was wondering how it would look, but having seen the pics you guys put up I'll be happy with stock height.

I mean I'm pretty happy with stock height on 17's, so I don't see how bigger rims is gonna make it look crap.

I got a set of 20's for mine yesterday and I still have the stock springs in and it doesn't look to bad! I was surprsied because I thought it would look like a 4WD. I'm still getting it lowered but! 1 inch should see the guards at the top of the tire. 2 inches should see me happy.

Yes lowered cars do look better....to a point, I have never liked the ultra low look but SLs and SSls do look very nice.

I haven't minded the look of the stock ride height with 19s so will stick with that for now.

19 inch starcorp impuls with sl and ssl springs... if you get them just dont hit a pot hole

standard height on 19's here, after coming from a honda on 17's lowered 3" I can say it doesnt look so bad, and is easy to live with, I dont have to freak driving in my own front yard like I did with the honda, nor do supermarket speed bumps scare me anymore, its the reason why I was over the honda in the 1st place, whats the point of having a sh*t hot car you need to baby everywhere????

I got 19s, and still have the stock springs... lowering it straight away

isn't high on my priority list... with the lowering though, I've been told

by Pedders and Fulcrum suspension places that it'd cost me upwards

of $1000.00 to lower the beast because I need the camber kit, and

they need special tools to lower the BA's and BF's (apparently the

normal spring tensioners don't fit)

I said it was a load of hot cock, went back to Ford, and said 'if I supply

the parts, how much for the labour?" they told me somewhere in

the vicinity of $600 or so... (they have the tools and do it all the time)

that's without the camber kit mind you.

but one of my mates dropped his BA on its guts without the camber kit

and said that he doesn't have abnormal tyre wear patterns like they

would have you believe...

Got the wheels on today...

Ruff Racing r281 (Black centre, polished lip)

19"x8.5" all 'round.

If I had the option, I would have liked 18's, with 7.5" up front and 8.5" on the back.

Regardless, I'm happy with the result.

I certainly agree that it would look better lowered a couple of inches, but having owned lowered cars in the past, I've grown weary of sacrificing practicality for the sake of looks alone.
