This might be a much better option as a short motor if the compression is the same as an N/A as it uses the same internals as an F6 I am fairly sure? If your wanting to beef up your BA, your best bet would be to invest in a BF F6 short motor from Ford. It will set you back around $2,500 delivered to your local mechanic.All the best with your rebuild.San.Can I just add for anyone in NZ......these short motor assemblys are also available through Ford dealers here. Same part number. Retail $3000 plus GST. I believe the trade margin around 20%.
