If you turn on your rear demister it's louder!! :o

That would make sense wouldn't it? If its to do with the aerial control module as harasn says, and the aerial itself is embedded in the rear window, then using the demister in that window would have some effect no?

Do these thingys have a suppressor on them?I know before we had one on Dad's XC 351 it sounded like we were Supercharged or something :)

If not they're really cheap and available almost anywhere!

Well I have finally fixed the noise in the rear speakers as has been posted else where we do not use the standard audio unit but still had the noise. Found the noise to be caused by the alt assemly just got a alt suppressor from a auto electrian and ftted it to the alt on saterday. No more noise and the audio is a lot clearer now it was great to do the cruise up here with out the extra noise in the car.

Ford do not no how to fix it yet but I will tell my dealer to day.

I have the premium sound and also get this feedback. It is most noticable when I put the stereo to AUX but dont play anything. Then if I rev the puppy you can hear it whistle through the speakers. Louder the more you rev it. It is bloody annoying because I can just here it in the background when I listen to CD or radio. What to do.....

FInd a auto electrican to fit a suppressor to the altanator and this should fix it we have tested two cars and this appears to be all it is.

Ford replaced my alternator today. the suppressor will mask the problem but the cause appears to be a fault in the altenator
