Dangerous bit of advice, just remember that you are playing with a 6000 dollar engine, running head long into modding without thought of the consequences is just asking for trouble.

I have a BA 2 6 speed with a wog cooler, K&N filter, CAI + F6 CAI and the popular middle muffler removal job on a stock tune. Never had any problems so far, stays on the 5-6 psi constantly. I think if I fitted a UBP I may be pushing my luck.

Dangerous ? Not looking for an argument here but if anything an exhaust, cooler and intake package should compliment better fuel economy and response I would think. Never heard of anyone destroying a "6000 dollar engine" in the process. But if it is dangerous , shoot dude, sorry I stand corrected.

Alot of people have had overboost problems after fitting coolers and dump pipes and cats, do you have a boost gauge installed Sasha?? If not it may be overboosting without you knowing it...

No argument here, all these stuff will give you economy and response but you cant just chuck things on these cars and expect everything to be ok. At the very least you should dyno the car after any major mod to make sure its safe or tune it so you can make the most of the mods.

I only ended up fitting the I/C, the UBP can wait till I get a tune. Rather be safe then sorry.

Good luck with the tune, should run nicely afterwards.:stupid:

You will have to keep you right hoof in check till then. :gunsfiring:

As other have said , it doesn't hurt to put it on the Dyno to make sure all is ok.

When I replaced my APS exhaust and Cat that already flowed pretty well with a custom dump, cat and 4" system ,my AFRs went from rich to lean and most definately needed a re-tune

Yes I have a boost gauge. It's working fine, reads about 5 1/2 psi. Im actually going to the local tune house tomorrow morning with my cousin and his BA. that's the one I tried to tell you was making 330 rwkw on stock valve springs and on 12 psi and nobody believed me , all I got was blokes acting like jealous tossers because their poo barges werent making that power on that boost and with only $2000 spent. Well since then it has been to Mal Woods Automotive and had nearly 10k spent on the drive train and is back here to be tuned to as close as 400 rwkw as he can get. We will see tomorrow I suppose. I will get photo and video evidence for the non believers out there. Should be a blast, might throw the ute on to see how it ramps up also.

Cheers Sasha.
