Well done.

The first foray into property is always exciting, and of course auction can be a nervous experience.

Being near a beach is always better from a capital increase perspective, so overall it looks like a good move.

I’m trying to get my 26yo son to also make his first property purchase, although the Sydney market is a very expensive entry.

hey man I know how you feel I just bought my first house 2 monts ago. Real scary at first but now it is all sweet. I just wish I could have got something for $300,000, I had to pay $415,000 and im a bit out of the city but that's not to bad for a 4 bedroom house on a 700m2 block I think, its really getting hard to get into the market now for young people as on the gold coast $400,000 is the bottem of the market and houses are selling so fast. My house didn't even get advertised it had only been listed for 2 hours when rang up about another property but but was told about this one. I rang up friday night had a look sat morning and bought it right then. Up here you don't have time to think, if you like it you have to get it right there right then. As soon as I walked in I knew I wanted it as it was miles above anything else even close to that sort of money. But congrats mate its scarry but you are set now, just sit back and enjoy it mate.
