Good to see I wasn't the only one grovelling to my wife to give me permission ;)

I think all of us married ones went through the same "Please can I have the Turbo, please can I have the turbo, please can I have the turbo" x 999999999999

:)

Nice work Mac_dude. But trust me, a wait till the 20th of November 2003 ain't too bad. My intended delivery date is 20th Nov 2004 (tis my birthday, and I'm waiting for Series 2) :D

What's the 11th commandment?

Thou shalt not covert thy neighbours’ XR6T…

Craig, I had to 'delegate' the color choice if I wanted the turbo

I was a bit of an Acid Rush fan myself...

MattB, How can you wait THAT long????

Hehe...another proverb...Good things come to those who wait.

I would've taken the plunge this year on 20/11 but decided I wanted to make some improvements to the bachelor pad first...the Jap Zero (ie Mitsubishi) that I currently drive is still going OK, plus liked the idea of getting a Series 2 instead. Especially when I read in Drive (SMH) about the possibility of getting a 6-speed auto :hiwelcome:

Meanwhile, anytime I have a bad week, I just walk by the local dealer around the corner from work and remind myself what lies ahead  And one of my mates is getting an XR8 ute soon which I'm assured I will be allowed to take for cruises, so that will ease my pain.

It is extremely worth the wait, and still now, after 6 months of driving I am always amazed more and more of what can be done in the animal.....

You will be more than happy with it and will put many a tear into the eyes of the black ass crab drivers.. trust me, I know from experience.. My borther in law in his Monaro CV8 still tries once a week to see if by some fluke of nature, his car has changed and can keep up after I hit my 3000 revs and climbing...

Enjoy!!
