hey sorry I missed the update Russ, but yeh same as these guys I've had my pads changed to the bendix and the discs machined twice. no change. also tried blasting it to hell and back again with the hose which seemed to last for about half an hour of driving.

mongrel of a thing!

anyone got any further suggestions that could help? or can validate the worth of putting silicone under there (bit sceptikal of that though)

might have to get the R&D boys onto a new set of billet pads...

Dan

I have heard similar to what senna said. The pads will get a “glaze” on them if you don't haul them on every now and again. I have done a couple of massive stops in mine and the noise has reduced a lot. Sometimes it is still there but nowhere near as often. I just got a set of new 20's and the tires don't really like being hauled up that quick!!

I defiantly recommend giving this a go however. Get on a quiet “private” road and do a few huge stops and see how it goes.

Mate Ford in Brisbane put something on the back of my brake pads and it fixed the problem. Though the problem was a rattly sound, right answer wrong problem.

heavy long braking stops, its usually city style traffic that glazes the discs, light application for a long distance, give em a good hit and they should be right, don't be afraid to use the brakes guys, also, when you hit the brakes hard, it may feel like the car is wandering a bit, just leave the steering wheel straight and the EBD will look after you (provided you're not on ice or oil!)

yeh gave it a go just now actually, just got back, doesnt seem to have made much. it's just so farcan annoying having to hit the brakes either early and lightly or late and harder!

I've tried the brake squeal remover spray stuff and that doesnt do any good, might go for a hard drive then give it another quirt with that, see if that helps any.

any other ideas?
