Hehe I remember reading that thread. That guy got a good toasting he did.

Another idea, you should try and wedge a small bird in behind the mirror. They eat spiders and bugs and stuff right? :Welcome2FordXR6t:

Hehehehehe! Birds love those spiders huh.

I got a bird in my hilux grill a few months back, didnt realise until I went to clean it about a week later... there were maggots and gunk everywhere... it was real bad. I bet he regretted trying to get my spiders!

I too have a spider in my LHS mirror, he only moved in a couple of weeks ago and I've been wondering how on earth I'm going to get him out. I've been at him a bit with the high pressure hose from the car wash but he seems to think I'm giving him a shower. Not happy!!

I'll try getting some Mortein or something in there tomorrow. No doubt overnight now he will throw up a brand new web on my newly detailed car... hopefully it will be his last!

WD40 would kill him as well and not harm the mirror mechanism.

If the spider has turned your mirror into his home, I'd be checking what the squatters laws are in Sydney as he may have rights to your car? :spoton:

I finally killed him. I caught him making his web and quickly sprayed him. he did run back in behind the mirror, but I haven't seen a web for a couple of day so I assume he is dead. If not I will be peeved.
