Apples and oranges... Theres a reason why Ford make falcons, cause Expensive Daewoo make commies, Subie make wrx's cause Mitsu make evo's.

I had a run in with an STi 2 door (private road). Sounded and looked modded (cooler, exhaust) and I had only a tune. It launched like it was connected to elastic bands, I started to reel it in, but honestly had no chance...

take em down the quarter and see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

whats easier and cheaper to get to run a flat 11 sec pass.... a wrx or a T??

if you had $2K to spend, which would be faster??

which is faster stock??

now considering that MOST people will never spendmore then a few grand on mods.... will there be more faster rexes on hte street or more faster T's on the street??

answer those and you will see which one is a faster car overall (in every day situations).

I have had both and must say the rex had less niggling issues.... but with the rwd of the T, it is a LOT more fun to drive and throw around!!

and BTW, I dont know the answer to my questions.... just saying that which ever comes out on top in those above questions, really is a faster everyday street car.

sure both camps will have some monsters out ont the road but that's beside the point.

Well overated compared to an EVO or GTR perhaps but my GC8 did over 50 trackdays, 7 genuine services in 180K kms, a thrashed gearbox that survived everything I through at it. Engine that smashed limiter often

For a second there, I thought your first line was describing a ford... (fuel, leaks, driveline shunt..).

BUT I can understand how you think.. You owned a bugeye after all :beerchug:

All in jest however and I really do love Ford (the bedspread, beermats, posters etc prove this!)

No.Just describing the REX. :beerchug:

Just as overated as toyotas.lol

but I reckon a stock wrx launched hard would kill a 300rwkw T from a traffic light GP

been there done that.. first gear... subby more then a car infront, second gear... suby half car in front, third gear.. wheres subby gone?

that was a stock 07 vs a 300 rwkw manual... an auto would have chopped it easier me thinks

still probably my most enjoyable traffic light GP to this day.. I may have only beat the driver and not the car but third gear vs third gear the difference was epic

Well my wrx ran 13.4@102ish with a shagged clutch and cat back exhaust. 130awkw... I reckon my BF 6speed would be good for high 13's in stock form.

From a speed point of view its hard to argue with guys like XR6T EGO (WA member). Basic mods on the ZF netted him an 11.8. Looking at his mods list I'd say he spent 3K. Pretty good effort. On a wrx that'd get u autronic, CAI and maybe 2nd hand fmic. Then your gonnna need turbo / exhaust etc. The big ford is an easy car to mod. But then it should be with big turbo / 4 litres. Downside is the weight... But then again they Veyron is heavier.. Guess that's what 2 or 3 million bucks does though!

Although the lib STi's are a great package!

ROFL@SMICKY! My mate bought one and came on our track day. "What mazda is that" asks Dean... But its growing on me.

Imagine if ford made the XR5 an AWDT platform. Would be an XR6T killer for sure!. White, dumped on factory rims, blue racing stripes and dark tint FTW!
