Scotty a cap is definately the way to go, just work out hoe much you spend a month a get a cap to suit. I havent looked back after turing to them. three are cool with good phones, but poor coverage (can only speak for WA though) in country areas.

work out wether you're going to acutally use all of the 'useful' features of the phone too

I just did a deal with three for me and my wife.

Their coverage is good, and if out of range they switch over to the Telstra network. Plus calls between 3 users is free.

I got a HTC TyTn, full PDA with Qwerty keyboard, 3MP camera, video, speaker phone and GPS. The wife got an LG shine.

I gave up on Nokia's years ago. I found them too fragile and broke easily when dropped. For t6he last few years I've used Samsungs and found them indestructible, and easy to use (but they don't really do any 3g phones. Although Samsung are making some of the Nokias at the moment anyway.

The jury's out on the HTC until I get some use out of it. The LG should be good, it's made by Samsung, but won't really know until it's used more as well.

Tmac, Sounds like you got the AWSOME TYTN2.

I just bought a couple for my staff, I have had the HTC TYTN 1 for over 15 months. They are well built and a great PDA phone

Cheers guys went with three on the 99 dollar cap plus 5 dollars a mounth for downloads the downloads is to pay for the occasional voice command on the GPS component, if and when I use GPS on the bike. Went with the N95, after hours of exhausitive nerd browsing on the internet, lets see if my geek skills are up to scratch.
