Guest Guests Posted 13/11/07 12:45 PM Share Posted 13/11/07 12:45 PM Did you ask him questions about the setup? never heard of them myself, how credible is this bloke>?ScottyAll the top drag radial cars run them in the states, I have pics of VT engines new drag car that's running 25oorwhp through 2 water to air cooler. 1 for each turbo. Guest Guests Posted 13/11/07 12:51 PM Share Posted 13/11/07 12:51 PM it is alot more effective FOR DRAG racing, they take up alot of space so its a little tricky for an everyday car, check out PWRI had a water to air intercooler on my first s/c setup for my xr8, aside from the fill tube it couldn't be seen. It did however require a small hole to be cut through the skirt (under stock airbox in an xr8), the blower sat over this area and covered the pipework and hole. Once the stock airbox is replaced the hole cant be seen. Being the standard capa kit it wasn't anything fancy but across 5 back to back dyno runs the car lost 4-5rwkws on a 27' day. I never got to run the seccond setup I peiced together with the help of ARE in qld, got made an offer I couldnt refuse. Apparently it has made 85orwhp in a coupe of some sort.Visit www.are.com.au for lots of fantastic info, these guys seem to know their sh*t.
