Water - air coolers do work well, but for simplicty the good old air - air cant be beaten.

Ive used a few water/air cooler over the years and have always come back to big air-air coolers... filling up the watr tank can get to be a pain, and if you run it dry and cant fill it your stuck with less pwerformance/cooling.

guys,

W2A are brilliant !

they will keep air temps down so much its not funny......... more then a normal air to air would ever do even with a water spray. I have plenty of W2A data.

im thinking of putting my old PWR barrell off my dragcar onto my ute. only reason im not using it on my racecar is ive gone methanol and dont need an intercooler

Ern

PWR 8 x 10 Barrell Water to Air Intercooler coming off the turbo with the hoses hanging off it ( water lines hooked up to the PWR Electric Water Pump then to a PWR Radiator ) this one has its own radiator but ive modified to to be twice the size PWR give you in the kit so no fill ups required ( or a top up once every 3 months...... usually about a litre )

Your right there Ernie. My brother currently has a A2A Inctercooler kit on his Supercharger worth 3.2k from F.IT. but is about to change to W2A Kit from Yella Terra as they're simply more efficent. They do keep the air temps down and according to power, it is far more consistent when compared to the A2A.

I wish they had invented W2A'a for our T's??

cheers,

San.

so very true San...........

my only problem with fitting the 8 x 10 barrell is its massive and no place really in the engine bay........ the radiator would be fine as it will fit infront of the current radiator.

I think if you guys want to go W2A I would think about going the 4 x 6 or the 4 x 8 barrell as these are a bit smaller and might fit somewhere in the engine bay or in front of the radiator.

Might give us a legit reason to have a bulge in our bonnets :spoton:

A mate had a w2a on his GT4 Sillycar and it worked very well. Also reduced the pipework.
