Fordboy - that is my new setup. It is close to being finished and tuned.

You are probably looking at around $1200-1400 for the manifold - and do you want split pulse or not.

That is a 50ml turbosmart gate which is around $850, and then if you want the system ceramic coated (or something similar) you are looking at another couple of hundred. Also - then depends on your turbo selection, so that would be where you want to start and then supply the turbo to ETM or whoever and a custom set can be built for you.

Id allow $2-2.5K for a setup with good quality parts. It can be done cheaper though.

I'm interested in getting something like this, what sort of coin are we talking?

Plus the other $30k ++ for very strong engine, IC, plenum, plumbing, very big injectors, brakes, suspension, drivetrain, gearbox etc

If you are financially challenged I wouldn't recommend this path.

There are always extra costs that crop up, and that is before breakages.

Make sure you have a spare car, as your car can be off the road for quite a while.

Dave, there is what I'd call a sweet spot for mods and that is around the 350-380rwkw; go higher and your costs can increase considerably.

Brian - good call. I dont even care to think about the costs for the rest of the set-up - everything has had to be re-done, and only a few parts are really salvageable from the initial set-up. Gearbox and engine are big costs! Its a major snowball effect - and it hasnt even been tuned yet???
