It depends on how well you integrate the wastegate pipe into the dump, and at what point you integrate it.

I plan to redo the way mine is integrated, merging further downstream.

If you have well integrated piping perhaps you could show us what you have done.

Yes it is plumbed back in, but room is a little tight in that area, mainly due to the steering arm. I havent seen yet exactly where the pipe plumbs back in as the car is off the hoist at the minute.

Hopefully not too much longer before the first stage is finished and we will see how the set-up goes. Onwards and upwards from there!

Hey Phil, Good to see that you are still enthusiastic about the car. I guess you've been busy with work. How far is it from getting back on the track for a run?

Hey John,

Yeah - I am still mad about the car and somewhat desperate for it to make it back to the track. We should see from really good progress this week with Supernats now behind us and I am hoping that we will hit the dyno either by the end of next week, or by mid January when the guys come back to work. We are working hard to step it up in the drag racing stakes, as there hasnt been a whole lot of focus on pushing Adams record....It has stood for a long time. Unfortunately, these things take time and as much as I am keen, it has to be done right the first time with so many components so that I can save alot of pain and wasted time in the future.

The car will run a few new ideas, that havent really been done before on the XR6T, so should be pretty unique and innovative as well. :stupid:

I will keep you posted as it gets closer to time.

when a customer gives me free reign to design the turbo system I always put the wastegate off the turbine housing like this.

I always run a 4" dump pipe as it gives lightening spool up response.

systems like this one are so responsive it's not funny

Leigh, your work is just art! mate - always a pleasure to look at your creations. We will catchup in the near future so you can see the progress and we can look at a couple of options to make adjustments for RACE MODE!
