Power Or Looks

It's coming closer to that time when I can finally and I mean finally start modding the T

Just thought I'd do a quick pole to see what people prefer to do first in regards to looks or power when moddin there car.

In my case I will have about 4k which is either a Stage 1 Nizpro Kit plus a few bits extra or a Lower half GT kit with rims debadge and tint plus a few bits extra.

What would you do and what are the paths you guys have taken?

You can't see the 4k spent on looks while you are driving, you can actually use the 4k worth of performance though.

The T is a nice looking piece of kit.

Part of the fun it can blend in with the rest of the substantial XR fleet.

Even then, the fact of the matter is that irrespective of what a car looks like, if it is good enough, people will recalibrate their sense of what looks good. The mini is the definitive example, when it launched people were in shock about how ugly it looked; now, we are building and paying retro homage’s to the shape.

The other thing is unless you are a talented industrial designed, radical home styling jobs look like radical home styling jobs.

They're already good looking cars.. Get it tuned and also at the same time if the budget will streatch do the brakes

I say power.

Having a really nice looking car is fun and it's always good to have people wait at their car in order for you to come to yours so they can give a compliment but a quick car is always fun when you want it to be.

If I had my time again I would also put smaller wheels on (probably 19's, maybe even 18's) rather than 20's and spend the extra on really good tyres rather than average ones. You won't notice the difference until you're wheelspinning near out of control in 3rd gear up the freeway in traffic sideways and wishing it wasn't happening.

I wasted alot of cash on my previous car for looks.. and theres always a car that looks nicer that is newer with just a set of rims.. but power.. most people don't go for power (well outside this strange little community) so u can whoop people and show off that way

I say power also, but shouldn't you be saving for a T56?
