Hi all,

Just would like to know, how many Km's were on your brand new fpv when you pick it up from the dealer?.

Picking one up soon maybe in a couple of weeks. Worried that it may have more than what I'll like to see on it. I'm thinking that it shouldn't have any more than 25km's on it when I pick it up.

Have your say............

Cheers

Ford test some of the cars at random, they would have over 100km on it that I have had in at work.

Also some of the dealers driver the cars to and from pre delivery and also to and from workshops for various options you ask to be put on. So the km's vary.

My T had a few more kms on it than it should because they drive the car to and from pre delivery twice as I was not happy with it the first time and when cockheads damaged the tailgate they drove it to the panel beater to have a sh*tty repair done on it before I took delivery.

How would you know if your car was pick ramdom by ford or it was the dealer just driving it around town.

I have had a few cars in at work that have been picked for field testing. They had a sticker on the window which said so. If PD leaves the sticker on there for the customer to see, I wouldn't know.

On the monday I looked at my T, it had 6kms on it. By the end of my test drive it had 48!!

After licensing and picking it up on wednesday I remember it only doing 2 or 3kms!

hahaha we know :D

But make / model shouldnt matter in these situations! brand new means brand new, not taken home by dealer / lunch runs etc!

when a car gets booked in to dealer stock, they note down how many km's the cars come in with, this is usually put on a sheet inside the deal folder, along with any damage (if any) and the identifiers for the vehicle.

We call this either the "10-66" or "Mail Daily", you can ask to see this I guess, it will tell you how much FPV or the dealer drove it.
