Seems Mackay has been saved from this flood. To the North, South and West there is mass flooding.

Housemates are staying down in sunshine coast till the roads are unblocked to get back to Mackay

That pic lifted from the morning bulletin website http://www.themorningbulletin.com.au/photos/galleries/

Sort of reinforces the logic behind "the queenslander" house that all the freaks down south just like because they look pretty!

I've been out of home for a week now, left home on the 29th and got back there on the 2nd... Now waiting an insurance assessment. I waded down the street that intersects with mine in waist deep water to check my house. I'll Post some pics wen I get home, currently using the net on my phone. I did manage to keep the new TTG nice and dry though. :0)

Carpet got wet but it came up through cracks in the slab! The shed fell over and I lost the mower, a bar fridge, and a new block and parts I had ready to begin a project build... I'd kept it a close secret so I could pop up on here one day with a built motor ready to drop in. Now it's full of muck, rust, and frog sh*t. The plastic bags and oil coating on them did f*ck all. The worst part is about 20-30 tiles have cracked along the hallway, and in an arc fro

The toilet around into the bathroom. Add to this all the footpaths moving up to 3 inches away from the house, a sh*tload of movement vertically in the paths too and cracks I. The opposite direction to the joins in the Gyproc ceiling, and I guess u could say I'm a little concerned. The positive thing is I'm insured through Suncorp. That and the TTG is safe, lol.

sh*t man, sounds pretty bad. Seen photos of the Emerald Ford Dealer. Can't believe nobody snapped up the last Focus RS.. Water nearly up to the roof on all the cars..

In rocky we only have one pump of 98 fuel left, and people are finding out about it quick.. Gunna be isolated from the south for around another 10ish days. Airport staying shut till around end of month.
