Hey guys, thought I should finally join. From rocky. Most of you have probably seen one of my other cars around. white 65 impala, blue 70 el camino, beige mitsubishi pigma..

After driving dads ute and getting the bug I bought myself a nice '*beep* pink' xr6t ute. It's the low one in rocky with 18x9.5 starcorps all round. Be good to meet some of you other blokes.

Cheers

Jeri

If I get a clutch in I may make the trip to do some skids and run a 14 haha. Atm it slips from 2nd - 6th :(

Going a NPC brass button ceramic clutch. Should be fun. At least it'll handle the plans I have..

I have never heard of those clutch's. Not that it means anything... have a Mal Wood option 3 and I'm loving it.. Threw the car on the dyno today. To see what the AFR's were like... It is running far too rich.. We backed it off as far as we could with the Xcal 3. Boosted started at 10 Psi and tapered back to 8 which is where it made the 271 Rwkw.... LOL... It has a lot of room for improvement tune wise and I really can't wait...

The rear housing that I ported myself looked very stable... I may mod my original housing and sell it...

let me know if you do as I'd be interested... could even give you mine (no cracks or blemishes) as a replacement for yu to port and sell on again, and so on.

NPC is big in the jap performance side of things. Custom built clutches for your application, never heard of one failing if driven how doug tells you to drive. When you ring up he'll ask if you're going to race it, thrash it, or just drive it and he'll build you a clutch to suit your power level and driving style. Very helpfull bloke!

I agree with anchor and his clutch choice, I originally had a mal wood option 3 and when it started slipping I rang NPC and told him what I do and got a really good big single clutch, never had a problem with it yet.

not sure if I met you or not yet man I remember a couple of years ago a heap of boost cruising blokes came down to tannum for the day and we went for a drive around the place.

Got the clutch, looks the goods. Standard clutch plate was fine, pressure plate was screwed though. Getting flywheel machined tomorrow morning. Driveshaft is @ Jim Purcells getting freshened up. Center bearing boot is flogged out etc.

Won't be at the drags, some juvenile niggers decided my ute was a good target for their rocks along yaamba rd. Now every panel has stone chips.. Gotta fork out for that.
