Fat-Tony Member 5,364 Member For: 18y 9m 17d Posted 08/11/07 11:08 PM Share Posted 08/11/07 11:08 PM (edited) you could not be more wrong about me. I am 36 years old with 2 kids so I have a little life experience. in my working life my job is give people advice in regards to certain things. now I wouldnt advise people to do something, fully aware what the outcome will be. I would give pros and cons and advise accordingly. I am not an expert when it comes to mechanics, so proper professional advice is all I ask for. but I guess when you are dealing with mechanics, the professionalism goes right out the window. Now you sound like a complete boof head who has no better way of putting your point across other than insulting people, with simple and mindless jokes.that's great. I never said you were lacking in life experience, I said you had no common sense when it came to an expected outcome when modifying your vehicle. My mindless jokes are just as much a waste of bandwidth as your thread, and they were not targeted at yourself, but the fact that you have taken offense and decided to throw an insult at me would indicate that I have perhaps hit a nerve. :Sug3: Drink a glass of concrete so you can harden the f*ck the up. Your tuner well informed you of the perhaps possible destruction of your gearbox when increasing the power output of the car by nearly 50%. It is just bad luck that hit happened within a week of the increased power. It is not his fault because he couldn't give you life expectancy of your gearbox under the increased power. The mere fact also stands that if you were not using all of that power you have, and driving within the limits of the law, the gearbox would have held up. So stop looking to blame someone because you were driving like a tool and destroyed your own gearbox within a week. Do you realise there are people before you that have modified their cars and worn out clutch components and smashed planetries in their gearbox? So what is the point of your thread. To state the obvious? Well done mate, you're a true pioneer to modifying the T. I feel sorry for the poor *beep* who got the job of tuning your car. There are heaps of members on this site with big power that have cars that are running fine. I'm sure everyone has had there fair share of problems but isn't that what modding is about? Coming across problems and finding solutions to overcome them. Mate you learnt a lesson, you cut corners and you pay for it. Now get it fixed and move on.. Why are you all taking it so personal. I think you guys need to get a life. theres more to life than cars. I am over it already. get a woman in your life and stop "pulling" your selves about how great your T is. I think T overall is GREAT car, and I will not be getting rid of any time soon. So understand I love my T and wouldn't swap it for anything else. so to FATSEX, grow up and stop insulting people with your crude and uncouth language. you will know later in life of how much of you loser you are by your inept comments. Youve said you modded your car, tuner told you the box might last it might not, and it blew up. Mate, you obviously are either dumb or ignorant, because as soon as someone told me it may or may not blow up, that instantly tells me im doing something that CAN destroy/wear out a component.Anyway, your getting off very lightly as far as rebuilds go 2500 is nothing compared to some of the costs guys go to for rebuilds and you can pay it off.So lesson learnt and move on, dont try and throw the blame at someone else.As has been said you play (mod) these cars you have to be prepared to pay.
