I even had a tranny cooler on it. oh well. there should be a topic to warn people once you start modifying these cars expecting everything to fail. I have cai, injectors, valve springs, fuel pump and its flash tuned. Since those mods my cat died, so I chaged the whole exhaust, with an extreme force exhaust 2.5 dual. now my tranny has died. I dont have any money to fix it but the people I deal with are fixing it and I can pay them later. I have to say I am little sour on fords at the moment. its the first time I have bought an aussie car. I use to have nissan 200sx and I have to say I only had minor problems with it. but I am not giving up.

Im not sure why you are surpirsed it failed. 300rwkw in a car that weighs close to 2 tonnes is going to strain a stock gearbox that is mass produced. Take it from me - Ive had 5 boxes in 2 years. You dont even want to guess how much coin I have thrown at gearboxes in that time Edited 07/11/07 10:49 AM by IceMyButt

Depending on how many km you cars done pre mod makes a big difference.. Chances are it was already worn 80% and the increase in torque finished it right offAlso sad truth is your gearbox is also in the hands of your tuner... he can make it last years or he can make it last 1 week..Turn torque reductions during shifting off and not setup ramp rates and ramp presures will see your box have a short life by wearing out the clutches as yours has.
