Hi all,

Just bought an rpsec typhoon and are not sure as to where I should get it serviced.

Does it need to go to ford as it is under warranty or can I take it anywhere?

Where do you recommend and where do you recommend NOT to take it to?

I was also thinking about the ecu edit everyone is talking about will it void warranty or

do some ford servicing centre not care or do the edits actually there.

Was just hoping to change the boost to around 10 Psi

What are you thoughts?

I am located on the southside of brisbane

I can recommend Southside Ford at the Gabba. The service manager (Brett Sweet) owns a modded turbo territory and is a good fella.

They seem to do what they charge for on the invoice and don't break anything, what more can you ask for?

I'm pretty sure you don't have to take it to ford as long as you use genuine ford parts and take it to a qualified mechanic.

Found Metro Ford to be reasonable, but been a long time since I used Ford to service my car, Mods mean no warranty, servicing through accredited mechanic means warranty remains intact.

Both Goldie in southport and Paul drom Elite in Archerfield can sort you out and they are bopth sponsors.

I’d steer clear of them farkers at Kedron/Chermside. Had nothing but grief there.

Have been using Metro Ford in the valley for a few years and other than the usual level of incompetence that goes with the territory they seem to be pretty good. More convenient if you work in the city as well

I'd steer clear of Bryan Burt Ford at MtGravatt/Mansfield.

Had 1 really good service there in April this year.

Went back again in September to fix warranty items and replace the fascia around the gear knob and they ruined my hand brake and forgot to put all the screws back in the centre console when they pulled it out. Had me there for 5 hours!!!

Apparently they have changed management, and the level of service has really slipped in my opinion.

Might give southside ford a go for the next service.
