Having not had any problems with my car as yet I can't comment on any dealer experiences, they have all been good so far, aside from the exorbitant (spelling?) prices they charge for the services, it has all been good so far.

I can see however, how having been screwed over so many times by the dealerships can make you want to change manufacturers, and I don't blame you!

I understand what it is like, as I work for Ford Australia, and I believe their problem lies completely in the advertising. How many good ford ads have you seen in the last 2 years? Even the latest FPV ad isnt that good.

These cars won bathurst 3 times in a row and the company doesn't care to comment on it at all. They are winning the V8 Supercar Championship and they don't car to comment on it. They don't care to comment on anything and its so frustrating!

Watching all the motorsport I do on TV, when you have most car enthusiast watching the same thing, and they put no ads on at all, What a crock! The fords are really good cars, they have the best motor out of their direct competitors IMO, they look good, they go good, sure there no the best but you get what you pay for!

They are still good cars, better than their competitors, and the advertising just does not cut it.

yeah I would agree from reading other peoples dealer issues on the forum, they have been let down massivly in these 2 departments, service and advertising.

Its not that they can't afford the advertising, in fact I'm not sure at all why they have sh!t advertising, maybe its the boffins they hire to make their ads are just retarded, I'm not sure, but everywhere I look I seem to see other car manufacturers spreading the word about their cars, but never fords, who would out class these cars anyway.

I guess its just as frustrating for all ford fans to see such a great product going down the gurgler, Such a shame.

Advertising rant over :beerchug:

HOLDEN, an Australian icon for 60 years, could be snapped up by Chinese or Indian owners due to the financial crisis, an industry analyst said yesterday.

With Holden's US parent company GM on the brink of bankruptcy, the Australian operation may go the way of Land Rover and Jaguar, the former British companies that were bought out by India's Tata Group in recent months.

Automotive commentator John Mellor said: "Expensive Daewoo could wind up in the hands of GM's Chinese partner, Shanghai Automotive Company, and Ford Australia's operations could wind up under the ownership of Tata Motors."

this time last year GM shares were worth about $36 now they are worth about $3

ford shares (US) arent much better last year they were worth about $9 now they are about $1.80

I can walk across the yard right now and not speak to a single person, however our Toyota Franchise is buzzing with people. Whether they all buy cars or not I'm not sure, but I can guarantee you they are busy because of the amount of advertising Toyota is doing right now...

I wonder if this is because the team that has accomplished all this is not being sponsored as of next year. Smart move on Fords part on who they choose to factory back :stirthepot:
