I have the same problem when reversing out of my driveway. its a big clunk left hand and right hand side depending on which way I reverse out of my driveway.

Mercury turbo let me know how you go with a fix for this problem as I have no warranty on my t :spoton:

Cheers

Pete

is it possible for someone to get a copy of this bulletin to post up on here. I have this very problem but my local ford dealer "cant find any noise", they have even told customer service they cant hear anything yet when I took 2 technicians and the service manager for a drive they could hear it and commented how annoying it must be.

they then refused to spend any more time on it because they couldnt find the noise, my arguement is you wont find it if you dont spend time on it.

I got the same noise.. when reversing and turning, and sometimes braking whilst doing the other 2..

I do suspect it requires the rack shim.. anyone know more about this shim ? dont really wanna go through the hassles of leaving my car at ford when I'm always working on my own car..
