I bet it aint a problem.

If I had the doh I would have a Turbo

But cant so wont dwell, I will just make my N/A go as quick as it can and enjoy it. either way N/A ,turbo V8 they are all fords and we enjoy serving others a whooping. :fear (5):

dam right, but it would fell better chopping an SS in a N/A 6 than a turbo, and then telling the guy its a 6 lol.

Where the challenge it that :fear (5):

I can go toe to toe with a turbs to a certain piont now.

that's because the T drivers know they can have a coffee break at the line and still win :roflmbo:

that's what I have 164rw kw but in my case I have a 3200rpm stallie which zaps about approx 10-15% of my power from the rears, so I am actually looking at approx 183rwkw without the 3200 stallie.

But the quickest N/A so far at 13.7 I think has only 164rwkw as well

I know this has probably been discussed before,

but what are the best mods for the N/A BA?

is a capa flash and edit still the best first mod like the Turbo?

any help would be appreciated and ill pass on the info to the guy at work..

thanks guys..

I always follow the KISS principal - Keep It Simple Stupid.

1. New Exhaust with High flow cat

2. Cold Air Intake. I use dual intakes with turbo snorkal and XR8 snorkal

3. Heat Shield (Do not under estimate engine heat) - Simple reflective shielding on the air intake pipes and the air box reduced the temprature inside the box by 5-10 degrees c

Some trial and error (FUN) things to try.

Venturi exhaust boost - try and find my posts from some years ago on this topic. I have removed mine but it did seem to work.

Engine bay exhaust fan. I used an old radiator fan (from a datsun 120Y I think - any small one will do) and installed it in the engine bay near the right wheel. Connected to the tacho so it switched on when revs fell below 1000 (ie idle at the lights or traffic). The result was hot gases that build up in the engine bay during ideling were forced out of the car - engine bay remains COOL

See my signature for non performance mods

Have fun

Stock T running 13.7 down the 1/4??????

I don't think so.

Facts are that these days unlocking the power in a N/A falcon and getting a good time on the 1/4 is becoming a clear story.

must have the auto, 4 or 6.

must have the right headers and a good 2 1/2" exhaust.

must have under drives.

must have a good tune.

must have a high stall.

should have a good diff.

must have a CAI kit of some kind and a filter.

that all adds up to around $5000 to $6000 however an Xt can be picked up for $10000 so that may get you a 13sec car for about $15000 and its not some hardcore light weight pig on the road.

With more mods on there way the time will still fall and a bass model Xt will go the same way making a non turbo falcon some thing an owner doesn't have to cry about owning.
