Cant seem to get the center console. I undid all the screws I can see, the plastic clips in the bottom of the console where you lift the lid but it still wont budge. What am I missing???? Guest EGOXRT Guests Posted 02/11/07 11:33 PM Share Posted 02/11/07 11:33 PM Make 100% sure the clips are free, the pull it back slightly, and lift from the rear to a pretty steep angle. It should be free from the look of it. If you drop one of those clips in the tunnel, you can not buy them from Ford as a service part... Posted 16/01/08 10:05 PM Share Posted 16/01/08 10:05 PM Sorry to dredge up an old post but the silver on my auto selector has bubbled as well (see pics..). Was looking at the link to the pdf in post 2, is it that simple? Cause when I was feeling around in the dark last night I couldn't feel a screw near the base of the stick...or am I on crack? Then it just slides out and you shove a new one in?Also while I'm at it has anyone had to do this before? and if so how much auto selectors cost from either a Ford dealer...or somewhere else?cheers Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/39501-center-console-removal/#findComment-621565 Share on other sites
