hey guys,

I have only found 1 problem with the car so far, when I put my foot down to the floor, the floor mat gets caught and keeps the accelerator down which is really dangerous, for now I have unclipped the mat and pulled it backwards so it is out of the way, has anyone else found this issue with the drivers floor mat?

Haydn :spit:

Found the mat would shift forward and the clutch peddle would catch the edge and pull it up.

After I put in the extinguisher in front of the drivers seat, the extinguisher bracket secures the mat and stops it riding forward.

The great ocean road is a really nice drive, the car just holds the road so well, no body roll wat so ever.

You're obviously not pushing it hard enough (yet) :)

Congrats, it's a beautiful ride though - I am envious!

Dude you should have gotten a normal sized plate on the back! Then we coulda looked a little more similar.

We definately need to get our two beasts on the streets for a cruise. They would look mad side by side!

You probably shouldn't be putting your foot flat to the floor if you've got under 1000kms on the car. It might not like you in future.

Looks sensational dude, enjoy it.

Mine just clicked over 1000kms and when I floor it in first, the rears start spinning when it hits full boost. I never knew it had that much power! :Welcome2FordXR6t:

P.S. Trust me, they have plenty of body roll still. In my opinion, the struts are not stiff enough. They made them a little softer for all the soft cocks out there. hehe

This car is a f*kn animal!!!

Hey man I had already put 1000km on the clock yesterday haha, I just couldn't stop driving it lol.

I just put my foot flat for the first time and the wheels started spinning in 1st and through 2nd. It just puts me in the back of my seat, god I love torque. My boost was reading around 12psi  should this be right? ..if I didnt have t/c on I would have been in a bit of trouble.

I just had a ran with a VZ SS with a loud exhaust and it killed him, we had a few and I let him get a real nice jump and when I hit boost I just started flying past lol, and before you ask of course this was on a private road...

yeah your right about the body roll, I just wasn't driving it hard enough before as MrBean pointed out :innocent:

a street cruise would be mad, I just can't stop driving it lol

My F6 did the same thing Accelerator Jammed passing a car up a passing lane, jammed under the floor mat.

Third gear rev limited, (so changed to fourth---- rev limited-- again, I couldn't work out what was going on, too busy keeping on the black stuff to look at the mat. (any guess as to what speed I was doing at that stage) worst part was the big corner at the top of the passing lane, I'm just glad it is an R Spec because it was at the limit of it's cornering ability.... gave me a lot of confidence as to how far I could push it though.... What a way to find out.

Still it is a design flaw on Ford/FPV's part, all they need to do is cut that part of the mat back a bit more or put some decent clips to hold it in place... Dealer said hard luck, your problem...wait until someone files a law suit against Ford and we will see whos problem it is then.... :tonguepoke:

Hey, we all work hard!

My financee: 'Our mortgauge interest rate has gone up again and you go and buy this!?'

Me: 'Yeah! You only live once....and I pay too much tax.'

I think it was my 2 year old daughter that convinced her it was okay. When she first saw it she goes "WOOOOOW COOL CAR DADDY!" (This is from a 2.5 year old)

She thinks she's so cool cruisin in daddy's F6 lol
