my shifter (although standard) always feels alot smoother after it gets a good bangin' not sure why, but it goes back to having a couple of notches in it after awhile, strange...

same with mine, must be the hotter fluid going through everything. best the car ever felt was after a track night on the way home!

guess its a sign of how they should be driven!

I got a Ripshift, and now have a Mal Wood billet shifter to replace it. Ripshift = noisy as faaark.

Hi mate. I got a rip shift in my 5 speed (T5Z) and it has a rumble below 2000rpm. I sounds like some insulation has been removed from around the cnetre console area. Apart form the noise it's a brilliant peice of equiptment. I'm curious as to how good the Mal Wood unit is compared to the rip shift.

Mines a modified Mustang B&M ripshift. Its quiet but I did put alot of gooey silicon around the base to seal it up... I find it works well, I can change fast enough to keep on boost/front of the car up.
