Guest ratboy_ledg Guests Posted 22/06/03 09:08 AM Share Posted 22/06/03 09:08 AM buddy you should take it to a dealer but I suspect they will return it to you saying could not fault on day on your way sir...... you will have to wait till it fails or the problem occurs when the ford service techie faults it but I would be straight there... Its not all smoke and mirrors you know. some things are straight foward!down to the dealer. change calibration or parts and then on your way. I believe they did something to the ECU and now done 11000k with no problems.rainy - See your dealer if only for peace of mindKvntoday - relax, read the forum and get a "feel" for others experiences. IMO By far most owners are more than happy and there have been no major mechanical failures to date (that I am aware of).
Guest xr6 turbo Guests Posted 23/06/03 12:00 AM Share Posted 23/06/03 12:00 AM I;ve had my XRT go into "Limp" mode on a trip up north. I took it to the Dealer and they found that the VCT module had misbehaved therefore putting the car into "Limp" mode. They flashed the ECU with updated software and I havn't had a problem since.
