Changing The Colour Of The Forum?

While l agree with the white backgroung giving off to much glare comment, that looks excellent, very proffesional. Maybe retain the blue background but with that layout?

IMHO, this forum is one of the most professional looking I have seen. Much better than certain other forums that I could mention but won't. I like it as it is.

With the sample site, maybe add a few example posts here and there so we can see how it will look, what navigation will be like with the new layout etc...

I guess everyone is wondering why the change to the forum look and feel.

The bottom line is, its not necessarily a change we wanted to make, but rather a change which was forced upon us. The change is brought upon us due to a software update to the forum. This software update supports a new design function which the existing skin/design cannot be ported across.

The new software update enables us as well to integrate new features into the board, including a new design chat room, a warning system for our moderators, better functionality for messaging, searching and many many more. It will also fix many security issues, and hopefully minimise board crashing and downtime.

The new design brought about different thoughts about where we would like to see the site in the future, our aim of the site and how we wish to portray ourselves to others. Our view is we want to be seen professionally amongst other sites, but also have the fun and less restrictive attitude compared to other forums on the internet.

Dont think your views and opinions are not appreciated, they will be definently taken into consideraton and will be used in the new design, one option that a member suggested was that we have the ability to change the look of the site, this may be an option but will only be considered depending on cost.

I will keep you updated as things progress.

This site has strength of content, character and personality. It is informative, humorous, critical, tolerant and a great place to visit ... in my opinion.

By all means discuss the proposed changes and offer constructive critism, but remember that the site admins have to make changes to protect, enhance and grow this site.

I like it as is. If u have a look at the Melbourne car cruise forums, they have a white background and looks nowhere near as good as this

I think the white is a bit harsh on the eyes. The current colour scheme looks great and I like it, one of the best, if not the best forum on the net. Good luck with the new design
