Mate, reaction time has absolutely nothing to do with ET. You can sit at the start for 20secs and still run a 13. Your time doesn't start until you break the beam.

oh....... damn :spoton:

many have run 13.7 with a bf auto.. run 98 octane for sure and I see no reason why you wont crack a 13, even full weight!

my car feels best when the needle has just gone past the quarter mark, but I have never been able to keep it at this temp before a 1/4 mile run. the waiting and burnout and staging all ensure the car gets pretty warm.

I agree, if its an auto, hold your foot on the brake, and ride the accelerator, then when the light goes green, release the brake, and the car should cadapault off the line quicker, bit o 98 ron fuel, you can get a tune without buying a capa, shouldnt set u back much, but dont let the d/ship wipe it or youl have to pay again.

Hi Gents, I took my 03' T Auto out to Calder last friday night and just with a generic tune (mail-order) ran a 12.62 @110.7mph - looking forward to some custom tuning .....

Mate what is the fasination with a 13? I can understand it if you want to be able to crack it, but, surely you want some consistency to as how your car is run, then future mods will show improvment. It sounds like to me and I may be well off the mark. That this 13 thing is a wank factor thing that you want to brag about, but wont tell that you did it on a rolling frame only.

Never dragged race, not my thing, but but if you want that 13 practice practice pratice and steadily build up mods till you achieve it.

^^Not quite..... After my first run coming so damn close to breaking the 13 second barrier, and knowing these cars CAN run a 13 in stock form, its more of a test of myself to see if I can get the car to break into that 13 sec pass.... Sure, there is a personal wank factor involved in the aspect that I know ive coaxed my car into performing how I want it to perform, but no brag factor behind it, there is a few grudge races on on the day so obviously I want to get the best time possible.....

Fair enough, asked and answered, best of luck with it.

I DID IT!!! After a very very very hot day out at willowbank, with ambient temps hovering between 28 and 36 degrees, and track temps maxing out at 39 degrees, I hit my 13 second barrier, all be it a 13.98 @ 103 MPH...

Thanks for all the help guys!
