Restraint Light

Hello all,

I have just done 1900km and and loving every minute, today got in and the restraint light is staying on which means there is a problem with seat belts or bags?? Anyone else had this?? Can I wait for my 3000k service?

It came on while I was driving once. About 5 mins later I pulled over and turned off the car. Started it a few seconds later and the light went out like normal.

If the light is still coming on on Monday, I'd take the car in to a dealer to get them to have a look.

If you're talking about the airbag light in the bottom left corner then l have had problems with this too.

The car was only a couple of weeks old when it first came on and stayed on permanetley. Took it to the dealer who spent 2 hours going over the car and couldnt find anything wrong, so reset the computer and off l went.

About 8000km later and its on again, so will have to get it looked at. noticed today with my wife in the passengers seat that it wasnt on so will have to keep an eye on it and see if the passenger seat being occupied has anything to do with it (we have side airbags)

very strange, yesterday did 60k light on today another 50k no light? Will see how it goes I guess

I had the same problem in my BMW - the problem turned out to be a cable running from the seat that had come unplugged. They replaced the cable and all was fine (dont know why they replaced it instread of just pluggin back in though)
