Apart from that they are essentially the same car in the BF series.Oh and aside from the bodykit and other internal "eye candy" differencesAlthough I would assume you are just going to use one of your currently owned vehicles rather than splash out on a new BF?There is a bit of a discussion about this on AFF though you need to scroll to the bottom before the answer to the question is discussed in detail: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.ph...es+typhoon+xr6t Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/39092-racing-a-typhoon-in-australian-performance-car-championship/page/2/#findComment-586160 Share on other sites

The main differences are in the ECU as there are a few extra sensors etc (such as checking for overboost, when the boost comes in etc). These changes are also mainly due to the different transmissions (and being that with the ZF, the car is 30 kg heavier so there were some other calibrations necessary to account for this)Getting back to your question about the turbo itself, as an example, you could quite easily drop a BF turbo into a BA without anymore changes necessary. He mentioned that most of these racing categories are ECU controlled anywayHope this helps,T Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/39092-racing-a-typhoon-in-australian-performance-car-championship/page/2/#findComment-586254 Share on other sites
