It was never there before...but now it is.Perhaps coincidence? Also, a knocking rattinling noise can be heard when I go over little bumps in the road that sounds something like knocking on a big piece of hollow wood. I duno if that's the best way to describe it...Again..this seems to only have started since I got it back fom the service centre.I thought it might have been loose or rattly brake calipers..but even if I lightly press on the pedal while going over bumps in the road the noise is still there. My front tyre pressures are at 40psi, so I dont know if that is the cause of this noise...Any thoughts? Im pretty sure this noise wasn't there before the service...which if you read one of my other posts was an absolute disaster. They scratched my front bumper while bring in the car around to me from the workshop which they then offered to respray for me...so I assume they would have had to remove and refit the bumper bar...but I tried moving the bar up and down and it seems fairly solid...??? Ford know about it (its called shocker knock), even replaced the shockers once but its still there. I'm tempted to get some blisteins or similar to get rid of it as its ruining the otherwise excellent ride.I think all the xr6t shockers are prone to shocker knock so maybe your issue is the same? ronski123 Member 66 Member For: 14y 10m 19d Posted 09/08/11 02:16 PM Share Posted 09/08/11 02:16 PM Hey mateI have a fg xr6 turbo 09 model ive had a knocking noise in the rear end for 2 years now does it when coming to a stop a slight knock sounds like knocking on hollow wood complained to ford numerous timesto be told it was normal. I also suffered a loud knocking noise on a stand still take off after the wheels would lose traction then grip agen a massive knock would come from the rear end after about 10 trips to three different ford dealers they were still unable to fix it until I went to a third party mechanic and got them to write down exactly what ford had to fix.So moral of the story dont take your car to ford because there a bunch of monkies I could honestly write a novel about how they messed me about because of there stupidity also never listen to them when they tell you its normal operation of the vehicle liars mate liars.
