If it was a $60,000 car, I'd be impressed.

For the money, and it being Jap, it should be quick IMO.

I'll stick to Fords, thanks.

In Japan the car is AU$85,000 and is not subject to our massive taxes on taxes on taxes that we have here. 10% import Duty, then 10% GST, then 50% LCT, then stamp duty.

I think the bare bones landed cost for the car would be $120-140k for Nissan Oz.

A mate of mine is bringing in 3 this year under SEVS, and should have one landed in the next week or so. He thinks the price that Nissan will be selling them will be closer to $200k due to the price he is paying for them in japan and all the taxes.

Saleen, I think you are being unrealistic about your expectations for a factory built car. There is no car on earth under $100k that will run 11's, and very few that will run 12's.

This is an affordable everyday supercar, that will hose most things under $400k and is much more user friendly and practical.....dam I am talking myself into keeping it now :spoton:

I like the way the Jap's have designed the speed limiters. It is based of GPS and will give unlimited speeds only at recognised Japanease race tracks, I am sure it will be different to the Oz spec ones. They have also already made a speed cut bypass.
