Ok guys, seems a lot of people have been hiding their engines going boom. Well, this is the place for you to come out and reveal your experiences with engine destruction. It might help prevent those that haven't destroyed their bottom end yet from doing it.. Help save fellow members thousands of dollars from your experiences. I find it hard to believe, the figures people are achieving with stock internals and of late the more I have been digging, the more I have found there are a lot of untold stories of destruction on stock internals, custom and generics..

Come on, you can do it..

My first T bent a rod at 310rwkw.It was after I sold the car thou,so I dont know what the story was.It was running 12 psi and 310rwkw with AFR,s in the high 11,s.

I think 300rwkw shouldnt be broken in a BA on standard internals as I know a feww others that failed as well.

Its a lottery really.

Freaks me out how people can think 300rwks plus, can be safe with an engine that has been essentially designed for maybe 300fwkw. that's a big ask for a engine to sustain reliably considering it maybe producing up to 50% more power than it has from factory, 50% that is huge.. Think about it.

I bent a rod @ 330rwkw (13psi)

Later when I took it to someone who knew what they were talking about it was a 300$ flex plate

Look, if we can help other member's by telling our stories, and being honest. Than why not? Its better to prevent than to break. A great idea there EGO. :spoton:

Well done EXRLNT, people need to be honest and not embarrassed here..

Guys, if you have been running these power levels and haven't done damage, I reckon you are lucky and this is my opinion only. There are many factors involved but one will stand out, metal fatigue. Who has pulled an engine down that has been running OK for an upgrade and checked the rods for bends an stretching, be honest now.. Most that have been running these power levels, will have some sort of fatigue damage..
