I average about 12.5l/100 with 60km/h average speed, mine's got 299rwkw on 14psi with siemens injectors/stock exhaust (not that efficient).

Has anyone else noticed these thing use heaps of fuel when they're cold? My DTE figure drops like 20/30km 2-3 mins after starting. Also, maybe it's just my tune, but does anyone elses car rev to 1,250 when started and gradually settle back to about 900 when it's warm? I can't drive the thing until it idles below 1,000rpm as you have to push the brakes real hard to stop it moving. Startup is what really effects (inflates) my fuel consumption

yeah, my revs rise up like that too, makes it easy to start moving in a manual! I think its just so the engine gets up to temp a bit quicker

Mines dropped from 14.5 to 14.2 since I did my bov mod, wierd. Hey Pat did you buy the $1400 kit from Rapid? And is it a good idea to run it without a tune? Won't it be lean as.

I bought SHY XR's old system, which was a Hybrid cooler and some piping that is similar to chris's new stuff, but not quite as big. My car was rtunning rich anyway

I drove from Melbourne to Sydney the other day and filled up at Benalla and made it to Mt Colah on the far north of Sydney and still had 8l in the tank. Car averaged 8.6l/100km and was loaded up with luggage and 2 people and a dog, had AC on for about 35% of the trip and sat on 120 all the way. Not bad for an F6 with 352rwkW. Can't complain

I agree. I have just completed over 3000ks with three people, 2 suitcases and assorted xmas presents. Average fuel used ( 75% highway)

8.8l/100km not bad for a 350rwkw F6. More than a few squirts included

Last Saturday, Canberra down to Batemans Bay / NSW South Coast via the Clyde Mountain and back, plus 2 days of driving around Canberra.

Total km, 467 km

Fuel used, 50.29 litres = 10.77 litres per 100km.

BA MK II 6 Speed Manual.

Just got back from Nelson bay last night called into the Nats in Canberra I travelled 2654kms and the average fuel economy was 10.22 lts per 100kms.

My first fuel stop last friday when I left from Cranbourne was Yass and I traveled 665 kms and had 8 lts left in the tank so I reckon I would get about 740kms per tank.

I have a 6 speed man ute with 330 rwkw bigger injectors, cooler and exhaust.

My original economy from the factory was 13.6 lts per 100kms before mods.

Around town im getting 500kms max out of a tank 70 lts at the moment :tonguepoke:

if you plant it straight off the mark that's where yiou will be wasting petrol,

turbo engines like to be eased into the boost once the revs get high enough, if you want economy that's the trick.

im picking up my ute from north queensland and driving it back to sydney this weekend so I guess ill have plenty of time to test the economy lol
