To open all doors ,two presses. Not mine...all or nothing You can enable the two stage unlocking by holding down the lock and unlock keys on the keypad simultaneously for 5 seconds. You should get a blink from the indicators as confirmation. The function is linked to the keypad so they can each be programmed differently. My alarm was fitted by the dealer and it beeps once when arming, twice when disarming. If you re-arm when the alarm is already on, no beep - just 2 blinks. Interestingly, every know and then I get a short blip of the horn if I arm quickly twice in a row. We thought we had confusion over the LSD/traction issue. 3K service on Monday so I'll check my beeps again after that
Guest Guests Posted 22/06/03 03:08 AM Share Posted 22/06/03 03:08 AM My dealer said it was abit safer for my wife if she was alone for just the driver door to open on one press. sounded fair enough so we have left it that way.

Is this a Ford factory alarm, as mine is and no boxes are even visible.

Yes it is, it's infront of the break fluid box on the left rear of the engine bay.

My dealer was going to fit an after market one but I insisted on the Ford one for better or worse...No compatability issues that way.

My dealer was going to fit an after market one but I insisted on the Ford one for better or worse...No compatability issues that way. When I ordered my motor yesterday I asked about the alarm. He said they don't fit the Ford alarm because of some 'known' problems. He then rang their build guys who corrected him and said that they are back to fitting the Ford alarms again.Don't know what the problems were, but I could ask if you like...
