this was touched on in the cobra thread, the reason it will be the same is because they can't build a 290 and 302 beside each other, if they did it would be a costly exercise and parts could be mixed up by the monkeys on the line

What parts are different?

Would just be a different tune wouldn't it? :stirthepot:

it has different cams, valves and valve sprigns tab, also a higher comp. ratio - 10.5:1 upto 10.8:1

Considering the differences are so small, it would be easy to mix up, even if they were in different coloured boxes, as they do between XR8 260 and the GT 290/302

Yeh doesn't sound right does it... I believe it'll be more. Just need to get a few Cobras down the strip or on the dyno to tell... :roflmbo:

the engines will be used in normal fpvs, 50 would be about right, as there is only about 2 months worth of BF left before orion, the 302 engines will be built all the way up to feburary as the production for cobra is scheduled til then, FPV need to keep customers interested in the rest of the FPV line up, hence the 302 in them all

Yep ... strange but true. Just an edit would see more than 12kW eh. But lets say you wanted to "trial" some internal bits needed to produce a 351kW model in the near future?
