SV6........ :stirthepot:

The new Orions will sh*t all over them bugs and all.

The Old BF already sh*ts all over them.

Given that the BF was a huge improvement in ride and handling over the BA, and the comarison at hand is between a 4 speed box that was used in the EB Falcon, a BA and Holden's latest and greatest, it would seam that it is a little out of balance.

Also, consider that the SV6 only seams to be ahead on ride and fuel, if you compare it to a BF11 NA XR6 with a ZF box then you end up with the following:

Marginally better ride and handling in the SV6 (so minute it would be subject to opinion)

Better fuel economy in the XR6 (according to most oficial tests)

More comfortable seats in the XR

Better forward vision in the XR

More power in the XR

Better performance in the XR

Better price for the XR

Better resale for the SV6 (given the impending Orion)

I'd say you picked the wrong car given a fair comparison.

SS vs XRT or XR8, then your argument would be much more valid. :stirthepot:

Just showing him the errors of his ways.

As stated earlier, he said he didn't want to do a comparison, then does exactly that, comparing a BA 4 speed to a brand new SV6.

I personally couldn't care less what he bought or what he buys next, I just wanted to balance out his post.

What's different about the suspension in the BF XR6t to give it better handling?

the BF got a better shock tune and slightly different spring rates, they were better calibrated to the weight of the BA, although if you're considering doing suspension mods, just get some aftermarket stuff as it is far better, or F6 shocks could be good

Well if the guy was a Expensive Daewoo supporter and is now cut up with the 1 2 3 Ford Bathurst win then that expains his bad decision...

How can you ever compare an SV6 to any XR6 Turbo? ok .. it might handle nice and ride softer and is cheaper on insurance but it is targeting a different type of driver.

Best of luck with it!!
