Just realised I have a cracked foglight. No doubt I have collected a rock from a car in front, there's been a bit of roadworks on the Syd/Wollongong freeway lately.

Rang Ford spares - $102. Almost dropped my coffee!

Not happy Jan

That will teach me to follow people so closely (bloody no talent drivers sitting 10Ks under the limit in peak hour, get outta my way!)

INTERESTING!!!... B)

I wonder if it is a common problem since my foglight cracked

when my ute had only 250kms. and no stone chips whatsoever.

My friends XR6 has the same problem and on the same side,

which is the passenger side. Which side is yours cracked?

Oooh, I sense a conspiracy coming on.

Mine is cracked on the passenger side as well.

I'll see if I can get a photo of it, be back in 10.

Cracked foglight

G'Day All

I cracked the lights on my AU Xr8 within days of purchasing it last year, so after trading it for a 'TBird' I saw the potential for the fog lights in particular to be damaged.

After I picked the car up, I drove straight to Super Cheap and I purchased some "plastic stick on" film; cut it to size with a pair of scissors and applied it. Cost me $20 for both lights and I've got enough left over to do it all again if necessary.

So far so good... No discolouration, no condensation behind the film and most importantly no cracks.

Cheers

Maybe a month back a member on here had a cracked light and found they were in fact Hella units, l think he bought a replacement for around $60 through a Hella dealer. if you do a search you may be able to find the thread.

Cheers

trumpy it was I who posted the thread on cracked foggy. Got it 1st decent run out #%$*

yeah the manual shows you how to remove the fog light on the back of the whole lot is the hella part number. (it actually says hella either on the front of the lense or on the side)

I rang hella who gave me nearest dealer (it was autobahn up here in qld) who order just the lense from melbourne and yeah around $50 I think incl postage. SO u can but just the lense. Not the whole lot like I got quoted. Give Autobahn or hella a ring after u get the Hella part number.

Hope this helps.
