And Porches just don't do it for me. Too clynical, too booring and too common in the supercar world. It seams that anyone with a bit of money jumps straight to a Porche. :buttonit::roflmbo:

More like people with not enough money for one of these.

The M3's a 2 door, and it looks crap compared to the last model. I wouldn'r even compare it with the R8.

Well, I will be waiting for one of these !!

M3 sedan adds touch of practical to performance

October 8, 2007

Munich, Germany - BMW is to launch a four-door sedan version of the M3 early in 2008 all ready to rival the impressive Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG.

It'll be the first four-door M3 since the E36 - built from 1994 to 1998 - but shares the same mechanicals as the M3 coupe.

That means a four-litre, 310kW V8 but with more rear legroom based on the 3 Series sedan; there's also a 20-litre bigger boot and the package is 25kg heavier than the coupe.

Performance is much the same, too, with a claimed 0-100km/h time of 4.9sec and top speed electronically limited to 250km/h.

While the car uses the standard sedan body, the "face" is most definitely that of the M3 coupe. The new car will also have the typical M3 blistered wheel arches, a different rear bumper and four tailpipes.

It'll certainly stand out from a standard 3 Series sedan and add a large dose of practicality to the howling performance of the car. - Reuters

The C63 sh*ts on both M3 versions and is already a 4 door. Looks heaps better too.

word has it that the next model 911 (998?) will have a flat 8 as they think they have pushed the 6 to the limit. If they do it then the gt2 version will be insane... 3.2 twin turbo flat 8, will be a beast

I wonder what a flat 8 would sound like??
