As Trumpy says however, you do kind of get used to feeling around in the dark after a while.

Waiting for one of KenBoyles classic one liners :D

It warms me to the depths of my scr*tum to see comments like this ... I didn't realise I had even a little influence or presence in this virtual ses-pit?

Maybe someone else could come up with a cheesey, sexual inuendo for a change. It's not that difficult, just put yourself back in school and pretend you're trying to impress your mates.

... here, let me start you:

... this is fine, unless you're in a picture theatre ...

... what happens when she wakes up? ...

... not advisable in a mouse-trap factory ...

... etc, etc., ...

Would ewe really want these switches to light up? I reckon it would get enoying. But if you do there is always a way. Get out your soldiering iron!!! PS If you want to light up your window switches do a search on blue window switches and make them yourself, heaps cheaper than paying for a Fairmont switch.

My XR8 which is two weeks old has illuminated switches. Has Ford finally made these standard. They are white colored.

I agree; I think if anything on the steering wheel was illuminated it would be quite distracting. I think I'd already worked out how to "feel" the buttons by the first night I had my car anyway.

I can tell you from experience that steering wheel controls that are backlit are very annoying. especially if your moving around in a car park using full steering lock and the like. lights flashing here and there as you turn the wheel. As for the window switches they should be lit. see what happens in the future! who knows!
