I had my T in for its first service yesterday (3000k). I asked for them to change the oil and filter. I think they only changed the oil...not the filter...Im going to have to double check the invoice...

But listen to this...!

As the guy was driving it into the pick-up area, he drove up the driveway at such a rate, that he scraped the front bar into the ground!!! I was inside checking out the lower mesh grill which they were selling for $130 bucks...and all of a sudden I hear this awful SCRAPE!!! I turn around and see my car being driven in...

Naturally I freaked!! At first he played dumb...but eventually admitted to it, and they're now going to re-spray my bumper. Which means I have to leave my car with them for another 2-3 days (luckily they're giving me another car in the meantime...but what a PAIN!!).

Not only that...the front left guard had all smudge grease marks all over it. The back doors have got all this guey glue stuff over them because they had to re-do the tint on the little triangle window on the rear passenger doors....the car was immaculate when I gave it to them

I was not impressed let me tell you...

Is there a GOOD Ford service centre anywhere around Melbourne? One that cares about customer service...quality workmanship...?

Let everyone know, so we can stop going to the dodge Dealers.

I smell a list getting made, if there isn't 1 already..

I'm not sure if any exist.

Considering Fords own piss poor attitude to customer service, there seams to be little incentive for dealers to do any better.

Power Ford in Castle Hill stuffed my CD player up while doing warranty work on the heater. It took 6 weeks for the replacement ICC to arrive because they have to got from the supplier to Ford, from Ford to City Ford, then from City Ford to the dealer.

Now I'm told it could be another month before I get my CDs back that are stuck in the old unit because Power Ford have to send it to City Ford who hang onto it untill the have enough of them to send them back to the supplier. So if no more ICCs die, I don't get my CDs back?

The 'She'll' be right attitude Ford seems to have once you've purchased one of their cars is appaling, and would certainly put customers off. Although, in my experience, most of the manufacture service departments seam to be the same.

its the same everywhere, these guys only see the bad side of your car, that's why they all reckon fords are sh*tboxes! You just have to try and get lucky, and only take it there for warranty if they don't give you good regular servicing, I have offered this to ppl in sydney, give me a PM if you want my guys to look after you, I will make sure they do...

As for "Courtesy and Patience" tell them to fix it, and find someone else, remember you're able to have your car serviced by any authorised motor mechanic, as long he/she uses genuine parts and stamps and dates your service book

Well I got it back today...after they re-sprayed the front bumper...

...and as Im standing in the front of it doing the final inspection before agreeing to accept it...I notice that the spot lights in the bumper look different to each other...they had put the drivers side one upside down...so the filament was pointing upwards!!!

Friggin knob heads!!!!

SO I decided to fix it myslf...easy job. Removed the undercover drip tray thingy...got my hands in there..removed and rotated it 180deg and put it back in. But the point is that I SHOULDNT have had to do it!

I seriously gotta find a decent place to take it for the next service...
