Hey Gary, just an idea..

as im suremost people would still be down for cruising regardless if it rains lightly. not sure about heavy rain though =/

just have a back up route maybe that's similar but not going on the mountains?

that's a good idea and I have been thinking that if it is raining, I will prolly go but maybe not up the mountain but still out to Princes Highway, right at Druoin to Korrumburra then to Wonthaggi, then up to Loch and back home on the South Gippsland Highway. About the same distance. Its actually part of the Wilsons Prom cruise suggested earlier but not does not go all the way to Wilsons Prom of course. So that's the proposed back up cruise if its raining lightly. Still some twisties but at least not on twisty mountain roads :spit:

Hi Guys,

Well TUFXRT6 and I have discussed it and we dont want to dissappoint anyone, so we'll do a back up route. At this time, we wont be goin up to Mt Baw Baw cos if it does rain heavy over-night, the road wont dry out enough for the gradients we'd be taking goin up and down and there may be branches and rocks on the roads. So planning on doing a modified route that takes in East Gippsland. I will have the backup route map posted in the first post later tonight and will have handout maps available on the day for those that arrive at the meet point. Still 9am start at Bunnings at Fountain Gate Berwick :spoton:

But, if the weatherman has it wrong and its a farrken sunny day (and it hadnt rained too bad overnight) then TUFXRT6 and I would like to leave it open as an option to still go up to Mt Baw Baw.

Ha ha ha - we havent had a cruise for ages - some of us must be horny for one :ermm: even though its wet as sh*t :nono:

Hi Jman, have put a map in the first post showing the meet point. Its at the Bunnings on the Narre Warren North Road Melways Reference 110 F5 and its in between the Princes Highway and the Princes Freeway. 9am departure time - so it helps if you get there maybe 8:30-8:40am to have a chat for the briefing before we all head off :ermm:

:ermm: Adam - its Melbourne - what can I say :rain: Know someone who likes it wet :doc1:

Anyway guys, have updated the first post to show the map of the back up route. Still has the Mt Baw Baw info cos want to leave our options open if turns out to be a nice sunny day tomorrow :nono:

Eitherway, unless its a full on gale, should be a good cruise. Both routes are favs of mine :spoton:
