Headsex Donating Members 2,528 Member For: 19y 8m Gender: Male Location: Melb
i actually calculated these to be good for 450rwkw at one point... based on the fact that 42's run out at about 330rwkw, 60's should run out 450rwkw (caluclated 470rwkw.. but i'm being realistic here..) I dont think anybody has pushed these injectors upto the power level when they start noticing the AFR's starting to lean from commanded.. Fat-Tony Member 5,364 Member For: 19y 21d
Here is some maths for calculating injector flow rates ect. Given the equation: IFR (lbs/hr) = (HP * BSFC) / (NI * 0.8) where: IFR = Injector flow rate HP = Engine horsepower BSFC = Brake Specific fuel consumption (pounds of fuel per hour / brake horsepower) NI = number of injectors The BSFC is determined from engine dyno tests and ranges from 0.4-0.6 for petrol engines therefore a BSFC of 0.5 is safe to assume for our purposes. Now the injector is rated at 60lbs/hr @ 3 bar fuel pressure or 83lbs/hr @ 4 bar (the XR6T runs 4bar), the BSFC is 0.5, and the number of injectors to be 6, we are then left with an equation we can transpose to find engine horsepower at 100% duty cycle. 83 = (HP x 0.5) / (6 * 0.8) 83 = (HP x 0.5) / (4.8) 398.4 = HP x 0.5 796.8 = HP 597.6kw taking into account that there will be about 25% drivetrain loss that brings us to a total of 448.2rwkw, so you were pretty close Danny Edited October 11, 2007 by Fatsex Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/38897-group-buy-siemens-60lb-380-a-set-of-6/page/3/#findComment-583659 Share on other sites
AIM-300 SUPERLAP 2011 Member 158 Member For: 18y 18d Gender: Male Location: townsville
so its safe to say with a good tuner with the right mods will see 400rwkw easy. in that case put me down for a set Edited October 11, 2007 by AIM-300 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/38897-group-buy-siemens-60lb-380-a-set-of-6/page/3/#findComment-583660 Share on other sites
