Another member here ran a multimetre over the whole cars electrical system however he couldnt find the source of the leak.I got so sick of the NRMA call outs and / or having to start my car every day so I replaced the battery. Problem solved.Ford told me it's not the battery, bla bla standard, bla bla...

My battery is over 3 years and I know my interior lights have been left on (door ajar) recently overnight without any problems the next day. Interior lights and additional footwell lights.I would say it is an internal fault in the battery. Be quick though batteries only get a 12 month warranty. I leave interior lights on all the time and come back hours later to find they've turned themself off.Sounds like you have an annoying problem. A mates VN Calais used to do this all the time for about 3 years, there solution was to put a battery isolator in because they couldn't work out what it was. After another mate bought it, he found one of the interior lights above the rear passengers head had been switched on this whole time, and had a blown globe with a dead short and drained the battery. walkerstreet Member 27 Member For: 18y 4d Posted 24/10/07 09:56 AM Author Share Posted 24/10/07 09:56 AM 3 drained batteries later ...After 2 days in the Ford dealership, they can't find any problem. If it drains again, I'll get a new battery. If it that doesn't work, I'll leave it with a private auto-electrician.Maybe I'll end up trying a battery isolator...or maybe a special device advertised on the web that can start a car by plugging into the cigarette lighter (or is that risky for the car electrics?)And at a last resort ... sink the thing in the nearest river ....Seriously though I love that car!Any ideas?
