groper Member 611 Member For: 17y 10m 14d Posted 05/10/07 07:35 AM Share Posted 05/10/07 07:35 AM hmmmm.... can you get the fuel tested? if you got a bad batch of fuel, you might be able to get some money out of BP for the damages...do you know how your tune is setup with regard to knock sensor and timing retard?mine is setup so that it can pull out up to 4 degrees depending on how much of a rattle the knock sensor `hears`...also worth looking into is how much timing retard the ecu has mapped with regard to intake temp and coolant temp. as with very high intake temps 4 degrees alone from the knock sensor may not be enough... where you fanging it hard before it happened?I worry about this somtimes... When I came back to buy it they had taken the mags off and replaced them with the normal XR8 wheels. Also on the paper work they had added GST taking it to somewhere around the $28,000 mark. I was under the impression like all other car yards I had been to when I was talking about the price I ment the hole price not GST exclusive.
