I don't think ford fu*ked up at all! they al sold in record time, ford did exactly what they were trying to do, ge their business running again, this is only a small step, but they are a business after all...

My main concern is that the boss 302 engine will not be exclusive to the cobra only, rumour going around is that fpv will be dropping 302 boss into remaining BF GT's and GT-P's as from 08 till they run them out

If less than 400 of these 302 powered GT-GTP are sold this will make them rarer than the cobra

Not good for cobra owners

this is true, however, fpv can't build the 290 alongside the 302, as the monkeys would mix em up, also if the 290 isn't selling now, what would make em sell after the cobra and before the orion, its to keep the product moving

Rarer but I doubt it will make a difference, it's not the engine that makes a Cobra it's more the Stripes and the little snake badge on the side. Now days I dare say there would be 1000's of GT's and GT-P's with more power and better engines than the 302 anyway. The XC's arn't worth that much now dow days, I think FORD need to think long and hard about resurrecting the Phase IV an make sure they do a damn good job in doing so.

Appreciate what FPV have done with the Cobra but if I was in the market for a GT I would consider the GTP over the Cobra

Atm u can pick up a GTP cheaper than a Cobra and u get at no extra cost the 6/4 brembos and the awesome high bolstered front seats and now with the 302 engine standard through the whole range makes better value in my opinion

yeah, that's the thing with any car buyer "what do you want it for?" I always ask this, then the person can say, blah blah whatever, then its easier to put them in the right car

if someone wanted to drive the car everywhere and hard at that, I'd point em the direction of a GT-P (for V8 ppl) or F6, not a cobra
